More doors, more fun: the new MINI 5-door Hatch arrives in October

The new MINI 5-door Hatch arrives in our Elms MINI dealerships on Saturday October 25th. We can’t wait to show you the most practical MINI Hatch ever!

To celebrate the arrival of the car we’ll be holding ‘ride and drive’ events at Elms Bedford, Elms Cambridge and Elms Stansted. Customers will have the chance to hop in the driver’s seat and take the new 5-door Hatch for a spin. Keep an eye on our social media channels for more details nearer the time.

We have a feeling the new 5-door Hatch is going to be a huge hit. With extra legroom in the back and easy access to the rear seats it makes the MINI a more family-friendly car, but it’s still just as fun and individual as the 3-door model.

It’s a great looking car, too, unmistakeably a MINI but with its own unique personality. From the hexagonal radiator grille to the circular headlights to the ‘scuttles’ surrounding the side indicators, you know from the first glance that this is a true MINI.

The MINI Cooper S 5-door Hatch and MINI Cooper SD 5-door Hatch models emphasise their sporty credentials with a honeycomb pattern in the radiator grille. Further styling enhancements include an anthracite bumper trim, a bonnet scoop, brake air ducts integrated in the lower air inlets and a separate rear apron with exhaust pipes in the centre of the car. These versions of the new 5-Door Hatch also bear a red ‘S’ logo with a chrome border on the side scuttles and on the chrome bar of the radiator grille.

As you’d expect from MINI, the engine line-up combines performance and efficiency. When the car goes on sale the most economical choice will be the Cooper D with combined fuel economy of 78.5mpg and carbon dioxide emissions of just 95g/km.

The MINI Cooper SD gets a new 170hp four-cylinder diesel. You’d be hard-pressed to find an engine which better balances acceleration and economy, going from 0-62mph in 7.4 seconds but averaging 68.9mpg.

If you prefer petrol power, the MINI Cooper has 136hp and the Cooper S has 192hp. Every engine meets the tough new Euro 6 emissions standard.

We can’t wait to have the MINI 5-door Hatch in our showrooms. If you feel the same, put October 25th in your diary.
