Harriet Lee swims to a brilliant bronze

Congratulations from everyone at Elms to Paralympic swimmer, Harriet Lee, on her brilliant bronze medal in the SB9 100 metres breaststroke.

Harriet swam her heart out on Saturday night to set a new British record, beating the previous best which she set in the heats. Her time of 1min 19.53sec was just 0.2 seconds quicker than the Russian swimmer, Nina Ryabova.

Throughout her preparations for the London Games, Harriet has been supported by Elms Cambridge and has been driving a MINI. We’re all pleased and proud to have backed this brilliant athlete on her way to Paralympic success, particularly after the many obstacles Harriet has overcome on the way. A few months ago Harriet was in intensive care in hospital, and she was ill after the individual medley earlier in the Paralympics.

Harriet – you’re an inspiration!
