Everyone at Elms is supporting our colleague, Marc Skuce, as he trains to run next year’s London Marathon in aid of the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Marc, the Elms Stansted MINI Retail Sales Manager, ran the London Marathon for the first time back in 2012. “I’m running again because I’m addicted in a sad sort of way!” he says. “Running the London Marathon was one of the best things I’ve ever done.”
As well as feeding his running addiction, Marc will be fundraising for a very worthy cause. “I want to raise money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. They grant wishes to seriously and terminally ill children and entertain lots of children every year in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK.
“Being a parent myself I can’t imagine any children going through any serious illness let alone my children. When I read about what they do, I was immediately sold and wanted to raise as much money as possible for this great charity. I’m hoping to raise £2500 by April next year.”
You can sponsor Marc through his fundraising page. We’ll keep you up to date with Marc’s progress between now and the big day next April!
