Elms Stansted MINI’s Retail Sales Manager, Mark Skuce, is running the 2015 Brighton Marathon for charity.
Marc will be raising money for Tommy’s, a charity which funds research into stillbirth, premature birth and miscarriage, and provides information for parents-to-be.
Tommy’s was founded by two obstetricians working at St Thomas’ Hospital in London. Frustrated by a lack of research around premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage, they set up the charity in 1992. Today, Tommy’s leads the way in maternal and fetal research and provides a dedicated telephone midwife service, a comprehensive website and free books and leaflets for parents-to-be.
“I’m hoping to raise £600 or more this charity,” says Marc. “My fundraising page is www.justgiving.com/Marc-Skuce.”
Marc had planned to run the 2015 London Marathon but has had to change his chosen event due to other commitments. He first ran the London Marathon back in 2012. “Running the London Marathon was one of the best things I’ve ever done,” Marc says. ““I’m running again because I’m addicted in a sad sort of way!”
We’ll keep you up to date with Marc’s progress between now and the big day in April!
