BMW & MINI Apps: the next level of connectivity

Smartphones and other mobile devices have transformed the way we work and socialise. Thanks to some brilliant apps from BMW & MINI, they now transform the way we interact with our cars, too.

BMW has a number of apps for Apple and Android devices. The BMW Service Online Booking App has to be one of the most useful. You register using your email address and a few basic details, then add your BMW to your online ‘virtual’ garage.  You can then book services, specific repairs or MOTs at a date and time to suit you. There’s no waiting on hold, no realising the service department closed five minutes ago – you can book a service 24/7.

Other great apps include BMW Connected. This brings the world on your phone inside the cabin of your BMW. Connect via the car’s USB port to access an RSS newsfeed on your vehicle display, find local Wikipedia articles, listen to web radio stations from all over the world, receive Twitter and Facebook updates on the dashboard as well as reminders from your calendar.

MINI Connected brings the world of mobile communications, entertainment and communication into your MINI. With this brilliant app, you can be out in the car but never out of touch. Using technology specially developed for the MINI, MINI Connected integrates the entertainment and online functions of iPhone into the car. By adding a Y-cable, your experience is enhanced further – just ask your Elms MINI dealer about buying one.
